Homemade Cameras

If you look on our Amazon site, there are 2 cameras, a wooden Kodak box camera and a seneca scout wooden box camera. These two cameras were in terrible cosmetic condition when we got them, so we removed the leather and found some great wood underneath. We removed all of the hardware, sanded them down, stained and clear coated them. Now we have this stunning example of early box cameras that is sure to make any collector drool. They have all of their original hardware that has been polished to look like new and they have all original shutter systems that function properly and are light tight. We had a couple more that we have sold and the buyers were extremely happy and thought it was a wonderful way to bring back these otherwise common non-desirable cameras. We are currently constructing a large box camera that is 12" tall and 10" wide. Hopefully it will be finished and up for sale by the end of the month so keep an eye out for it.
